Can I create unique looks with luxury vinyl flooring?

If you want an affordable way to add uniqueness to your home, look no further than luxury vinyl (LVF). With a wide assortment of colors, patterns, and designs, all of which can be mixed, matched, and combined, you can create unusual layouts and arrangements.

We know how important your home is, and the floor's an extension of your style. You most likely already know that this vinyl offers the authentic look of wood, stone, and tile and fits into any decor and room– but it also fits into your lifestyle with waterproof capabilities and countless functional benefits.

Just a few creative ideas for using LVF

1. Arrange the planks and tile-sized squares into various layouts, including geometrics, grids, or random patterns.
2. Use color to stylize a herringbone pattern. Alternate two or three different colors of luxury vinyl planks within the pattern. Herringbone patterns, by the way, also have a kind of hypnotic quality and create a perception that the room is bigger than it is.
3. Use it on the walls or other areas: Because LVF is so waterproof, it's also ideal for walls or smaller projects, such as doormats.

Are you familiar yet with luxury vinyl?

If not, run, don't walk to our showroom to see this incredible product from brands like Mohawk, Pergo Extreme, SolidTech, and Chesapeake.

The images are all taken in high-definition, so they're clear and vibrant, and, unlike the vinyl of decades past, there are no flat images. Instead, micro beveling and embossing add depth, dimension, and textured looks, such as wire-brushed, hand scraped, weathered, distressed, and embossed-in-register wood looks, while stone and tile mimic come in various finishes.

As an added aesthetic, this can be cut into planks to simulate hardwood floorboards, called luxury vinyl plank or square, tile-sized pieces that can be used with or without grout, called luxury vinyl tile. But, again, you're not limited to how to use a form; in fact, some people use plank, LVP for stone echoes, while others also use LVT for stone or concrete looks.

It's also ultra-durable with a top transparent melamine wear layer that protects the floor from scratches and scuffs, is waterproof whether it's submerged or spilled on, and is low maintenance. It needs only regular sweeping and periodic mopping with a manufacturer-approved cleaner. Installation is also simple, especially when it's a floating floor where the pieces click, mat, and then hover over a clean, dry, and level subfloor.
